A & J Tree Services

The first 24 hour tree service on the NSW Central Coast was ours, and we have run it ever since. A & J Tree Services has been family owned and local here since 2001. We carry twenty million dollars of public liability cover, we are qualified contractors for Central Coast Council, and both our equipment and our paperwork are rigorously audited by an external agency every year. We were members of the Tree Contractors Association of Australia from 2006 until 2023, and we are with Arboriculture Australia now.

Our emergency tree work and storm work run seven days a week, around the clock, for the tree that has come down on a roof or across the only way out of your street. We have years of experience dealing with the insurance companies on that work as well, which usually takes one job off your list.

The tree that has outgrown its space, the one that has gone unstable, and the one standing exactly where a build has to go all come under tree removal. On confined sites we bring in crane work and elevated work platforms so whole trees and heavy limbs are lifted out over the top of houses, fences and gardens, and we take on work over water where the access demands it.

Our pruning and deadwooding clear the dead, diseased and hazardous branches while keeping a tree's natural form and its long term health, and the crown work that goes with it opens up clearance and light around houses, driveways and power lines. We also install root barriers, keep hedging in shape, and on acreage we handle land clearing, asset protection zone clearing for fire hazard management, 10/50 clearing, and general clean ups and maintenance.

Afterwards the stump comes out below ground level, so the space goes back to lawn, garden or paving with nothing left to catch a mower on. Our wood chipping and mulch supply turns the cut material into mulch for local gardens, and we run three chippers at 12, 15 and 18 inch alongside two 4WD tippers and a standard tipper, so the size of a job is rarely the thing that stops us taking it.
