Our smallest stump grinder can be carried straight through a house, which is how we reach the stumps nobody else can get a machine near. At the other end of the scale we abseil off buildings at The Rocks and bring in cranes and cherrypickers for the removals that need them. What we take on runs the whole way from a consultation through to a bare block. That covers pruning for safety and building clearance, deadwooding, formative pruning on younger trees, tree removal of any size, stump grinding, mulch supplies and replacement planting, so a tree that comes out can be replaced with something better suited to the spot. Larger removals get done with cranes or EWPs where the tree is too big or the access too tight to work any other way, and every job starts with a free quote and consultation.

Most councils want a written report before they will even consider a request for tree removal or other major tree works, and that report has to be written by a Level 5 AQF arborist. We prepare them, including pruning and tree protection specifications as well as straight removal applications. Tree preservation is a local government matter and the orders vary from one council area to the next, more so since the amalgamations, so we will tell you which rules apply to your address and organise the arborist's report that supports your application.

Once a tree is down, our grinders take the stump out with tungsten teeth, and we carry a range of machines so the one that turns up suits the access you have. People grind stumps for all sorts of reasons: replanting, levelling for paving, structural problems, the look of the thing, and to cut down the chance of termites moving in.
