Quantified Tree Risk Assessment is a licensed system, not an opinion, and our principal consultant is a licensed QTRA user. He also holds a Diploma at Level V in Arboriculture and ISA certification, which between them mean Able Tree Services can put a number on the risk a tree presents rather than a feeling about it. That matters when an insurer, a school or a body corporate wants to know whether a tree stays or goes, and it is the technical weight sitting behind more than twenty five years of climbing and consulting work from our base at Stafford in Brisbane's inner north.

A little preventative maintenance can go a long way, which is the whole argument for looking at a tree before it becomes an emergency. On the tools, our tree surgery covers crown modifications and crown reductions, hazard reduction, dead wooding and remedial pruning, keeping established trees safe and in good structural shape for years rather than seasons.

When a tree has reached the end of its life or become a genuine risk, our tree removals are carried out cleanly and stump grinding follows so the site is left tidy and usable. That is the visible half of what we do, and the other half of it happens on paper, in an office, well before anyone starts an engine.

As qualified consultants we prepare detailed arborist reports, along with tree appraisals and arboricultural hazard assessment for a broad range of clients. We offer tree monitoring and preservation advice for the specimens worth keeping, carry out pest and disease identification and control, complete tree and vegetation surveys, and provide arboricultural consultancy and development site monitoring, which is why schools, universities, government departments, developers, builders, body corporates, property managers and insurers all end up on our client list.

For larger jobs and site preparation we take on land clearing, and when a tree fails without warning our emergency work is available twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, with a direct line for the situations that cannot wait. To make proper use of every tree we handle, we supply firewood for sale and offer mulch delivery, turning cleared and pruned material back into a resource for local gardens.
