Ace Arbor Trees

Justin Shulver started Ace Arbor Trees in 2013, after more than twenty years working in the arborist industry. That background is where the way we work comes from. Every job gets planned before a saw comes out of the truck, our crew is qualified, and we carry full public liability and workers insurance on every site we turn up to. We would rather keep a tree than take one out. Removal is a last resort here, and we run the business with an environmentally friendly culture that supports preserving trees wherever they can safely stay. Regular pruning is the most effective way of keeping a tree healthy, and it is what holds a canopy back off the roof, clear of the powerlines and sound through the structure, so that is usually the first conversation we have with you.

When a tree does have to go, we take it down in sections rather than dropping it whole, which is what lets us work in back yards, over pools and between fences where there is no room to fell anything. Tree removal is normally followed by stump grinding, so you are not left with something to mow around or plant over. We run a nine tonne tipper truck and an eighteen inch wood chipper, so the debris leaves with us on the day, and what goes through the chipper can come back to you as mulching for the garden beds, where it holds the moisture in and keeps the weeds down.

Land clearance is the other side of what we do, whether that is a block being opened up ahead of a development or hazard reduction and firebreak work before summer. Alongside the domestic jobs we look after hospitals at Cumberland, Blacktown and Mount Druitt, plus real estate agencies and strata managers around Sydney, so we are used to work that has to be scheduled around people, parking and access.

We are based on the Northern Beaches and cover a fair stretch of Sydney from there: the Northern Suburbs, the North Shore, Sydney CBD, the Inner West, the Eastern Suburbs, the Hills District, Hawkesbury, St George, Canterbury Bankstown, the Sutherland Shire, Greater Western Sydney, South Western Sydney and Macarthur.
