Some trees can be dropped in one piece. Others have to come out a section at a time, over a roof or between two sheds, with everything on ropes. That second sort of job is what we are set up for. Adelaide Tree Solutions has been working across the Adelaide metro area for twelve years.

Tree removal gets planned around whatever is sitting underneath the tree. Where there is no room to fell it, we use rigging and sectional dismantling so every piece comes down under control. Where the tree is too big or too close to something expensive, we bring in a crane. We can chip the whole tree on site, cart the logs and brush away and leave the place clean, with the stump ground out as well if you want it gone properly.

Permit rules are not the same from one council to the next, and they shift with the tree as much as the address. We will work out what applies at your place and help you put the application together.

For the trees that are staying, pruning comes down to where the cut goes. Just outside the branch collar, clean, no tearing, and no more than about a quarter of the canopy in a season for most species. We do crown reduction, canopy thinning, deadwood and diseased limbs, crossing branches, low limbs hanging over a path or a driveway, and shaping on ornamentals and fruit trees. Timing matters and it changes by species. Winter suits a lot of the deciduous trees, cherries go by their bloom cycle, and we stay off the oaks in spring when disease travels easiest. What we will not do is top a tree.

Structural tree care is the other option when a mature tree has a weak union or a limb you have started worrying about, but the tree itself is worth keeping. Cabling with flexible steel to take the load off a weak limb, bracing with rods through a poor union, and custom support built around heritage specimens. It starts with a tree risk assessment, either a Level 1 visual inspection or something more involved with diagnostic gear, and you get a written structural stability report from a certified arborist at the end of it. Tree health diagnosis and arborist consulting work the same way.

Our emergency tree service runs around the clock. Storm damage, a tree on the roof, something across the driveway, a limb leaning into the power lines. We aim to reach most Adelaide metro addresses within 30 to 60 minutes for a genuine emergency, and we can put together the documentation your insurer is going to ask for after a tree comes down.
