Seventeen years of climbing sits under every job we quote. Zac started up trees in 2006, working for various companies around Adelaide, Murray Bridge and the districts either side, and at twenty years old he stopped doing it for other people and opened Affordable Tree Solutions in 2010. The plan was a local, family owned business built on being straight with people, doing the work properly, and charging a price people could actually pay, and he is still the one on the rope. Sarah handles the admin, the bookkeeping and the quoting, so there are two of us answering for how a job goes from the first phone call to the invoice.

The base is Murray Bridge, and the honest answer on travel is that we go anywhere and everywhere to get a job done. In practice that takes in Adelaide and the regions surrounding both. Zac is a fully qualified arborist and the business carries full insurance, which is worth checking on anybody you let put a saw into a tree standing over your roof.

What we have made our name on is large trees in confined spaces. Hard up against a house, tight to a fence line, or in under powerlines with no room to swing anything: those trees never come down in one piece. They come out in sections, every piece roped and lowered, using precision techniques so nothing drops on a roof or takes the fence with it on the way past. It is slower than felling a tree in a paddock, and on a suburban block it is the only version of the job that finishes without a repair bill attached to it. That is why confined spaces work sits on our list as a service in its own right.

Beyond that, tree removal covers the trees that are diseased, storm damaged or simply in the way, and trimming shapes a tree to promote strong growth and pulls overhanging branches back before they reach a roof or a driveway. We cut hedging formal and square or loose and flowing, whichever suits the garden or the business frontage it stands in front of. With stump grinding we take the stump out completely and leave the ground clear for replanting, landscaping or simply more open space, and where a whole block has to come back for a new build or a development, block clearing handles the trees, shrubs and unwanted vegetation in one go.

Emergencies do not wait for business hours. Our 24 hour emergency service runs day and night for fallen or dangerous trees, so a limb through a fence at two in the morning is a call you can make there and then. For anything that is not urgent, ring the mobile or send an email through and Sarah will get a quote back to you. If we happen to be working nearby we will often come and look the same day, and no job has yet been too big or too small for us to price.
