Agility Trees

Not every big old tree has to come out. Some can be cabled, braced and kept for years yet, and knowing which ones is where a qualified arborist earns their money. Agility Trees has been making those calls since William Mittins started the business at Lake Macquarie in 2007, and we run it out of Warners Bay now with more than twenty years of industry experience behind the crew.

Every arborist here holds AQF 5 or a Certificate III in Arboriculture, and the tickets behind that go well past cutting: aerial rescue, 5099 powerline awareness, elevated work platform, dogging, chainsafe, chemsafe, senior first aid and RMS traffic control. We carry twenty million dollars of public and products liability, full fleet and plant cover, and workers compensation.

The plant that turns up at your place is ours. Bandit chippers to 19 inch capacity, four Vermeer stump grinders from 30 up to 60 horsepower in both tracked and wheeled, Isuzu chip tippers, a 5 tonne Hiab truck, ASV excavators, a Posi Track running a 100 horsepower forest mower, and access to elevated work platforms from 12 to 28 metres and slewing cranes from 8 to 100 tonnes.

That gear covers tree removal and hazardous tree work, tree pruning and dead wooding, stump grinding, and the mulching and wood chipping that cleans up behind it. On acreage and development sites we take on block, land and scrub clearing, mechanical trittering and noxious weed clearing.

The consulting side runs alongside all of it. We write arborist reports and assessments, carry out aerial tree assessments and tree risk prevention work, install root barriers, and fit cable bracing where a tree is worth holding together. We also do nest and hollow inspections and supply and install wildlife boxes, so whatever was living in a tree still has somewhere to go afterwards.

We handle civil contracts, council tree removal, school tree removal, land developments and commercial maintenance alongside ordinary back yards, with emergency support running around the clock when a storm has left something dangerous.
