Every windy week makes a risky tree riskier. On the ridge-top blocks up here that shows itself as deadwood and hangers after a blow, branches sitting over a roof, the solar panels or the pool after a season of growth, and now and then a limb that has already come down onto something. Arbfirm is Ben and Lloyd, two qualified arborists based at Roleystone in the Perth Hills, licensed and insured, with the work warranty backed. Both of us run every quote and every job, so the person who comes out to look at your tree is the person who cuts it.

One customer had five large trees standing on a house site that all had to come down and have their roots taken out. Another had two mature trees that had fallen into each other, which is a job where the order you cut in matters a good deal more than the size of the saw. A third had a heavy limb break and hang up in a lemon scented gum over the back yard. Those are the jobs we plan properly before anyone starts: we assess the structural risk, the rigging and the access first, and for anything near powerlines we coordinate with Western Power or their authorised contractors.

The rest of the work follows from that. We take on tree removal where a tree is dangerous, sitting in tight access, or has simply outgrown where somebody put it, and careful height reduction or tree lopping where it can stay. Our tree pruning is structural, clearance and canopy health work rather than shaping for the sake of it, and stump grinding afterwards takes out the trip hazard and gives you back the lawn or the paving. We do hedge trimming on hills homes and strata properties, palms as well, and after wind, lightning or heavy rain our storm damage work starts with a make safe: hung up limbs brought down, deadwood and hangers cleared, debris carted off and your access back.

Our patch runs across the Perth Hills every week, taking in Kalamunda, Mundaring, Roleystone, Lesmurdie, Pickering Brook, Gooseberry Hill, Darlington, Glen Forrest, Parkerville, Sawyers Valley and Bedfordale, and the same crew and the same standards go out into the wider Perth metropolitan area for residential, commercial and strata jobs.
