About This Business
Five industry bodies carry our membership. The Queensland Arboricultural Association, Arboriculture Australia, the International Society of Arboriculture, Landscape Queensland and the Urban Development Institute of Australia all list Arbor Operations, and that is a deliberate position rather than a wall of logos. It means the way we work is answerable to a standard outside our own opinion, and it is one of the reasons councils, developers, builders, body corporates and schools keep us on their books.
Trees have been our only business since 1986, which is more than thirty years of watching what happens to South East Queensland canopies through drought, storm and development. Our arborists are trained in the science and practice of tree care rather than in cutting alone, and every job is carried out to Australian standards from our base on Brisbane's northside. Sustainability is not a line we added recently either. It is the reason a tree gets diagnosed before it gets quoted, and the reason the material that does come down goes back out as mulch rather than into landfill.
On the ground, tree surgery, tree trimming and pruning and tree lopping keep established trees sound, safe and in shape, and tree removal and palm tree removal handle the ones that genuinely have to go. Height is rarely the obstacle people expect it to be, because our EWP and spider lift hire puts a platform where a ladder never could, and a truck and chipper combination follows the crew so the material leaves the site as it is cut.
The consulting side of the business is where the harder questions get answered. Our consulting arborist reports support development applications and disputes, backed by tree surveying using GIS technology, disease diagnosis, soil analysis and formal risk assessment inspections. For clients who own a lot of trees rather than one, tailored tree maintenance programs and tree management plans set out how a canopy should be looked after over years rather than visits, and our property management service keeps vegetation across larger sites healthy and compliant through the year. A survey done properly at the start of a project usually costs less than the arguments that follow one done badly, which is why we would rather be involved before the machinery arrives than after.
Nothing we cut is treated as rubbish. Green waste is recycled through tree mulching, and our bulk mulch delivery puts it back into local gardens and grounds by the truckload. Once a tree is down, stump grinding clears the ground for whatever comes next.
From Brisbane's northside we work across Greater Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast and the wider South East Queensland region. Call us and we will put a qualified arborist in front of your tree.
