Tree removal is what people ring about when a tree has outgrown the space it was planted in, or has gone hollow at the base, or sits close enough to the house that nobody wants to guess. Where the tree is staying, tree pruning lifts the canopy off a roof, clears the deadwood out of it and brings the weight back in over the trunk where it belongs. Once a tree is down there is still a stump and a heap of limbs to deal with, and that is part of the job as far as we are concerned. Stump grinding takes the stump out below ground level so you can turf, pave or plant over the top of it. The branches go through the chipper where they fell, and with tree chipping and onsite mulching the mulch either stays with you for the garden beds or leaves on the truck, whichever suits you.

Not every question about a tree needs a chainsaw answering it. We use tree hazard inspections and written reports to identify hazards and risks and to suggest the best management practices, and the report itself becomes an ongoing record of the maintenance a tree is going to need. That work counts for most on trees in medium to high traffic areas, or near essential and valuable infrastructure: roads, schools, public parks, and anything growing close up against a building. Tree consultations cover the smaller questions, where you just want somebody to look at a tree and tell you straight whether it needs anything doing at all.
