Tree removals here begin with an assessment, because sick, diseased, infested or dying is a different call from simply too big for the spot, and you deserve to know which one you have before anything gets cut. On a tight block the tree is dismantled and lowered piece by piece, which keeps the whole job under control in a confined back garden. Once the trunk is gone, stump removal and grinding deals with what is left in the ground, and that also keeps disease and pests from setting up shop in a rotting stump.

For the trees and plants staying put, pruning protects them and improves their form, while hedge trimming is as much about how a garden hedge looks as how it grows. Palm tree trimming is a job of its own, taking the dead fronds and the seed heads off so the palm stays healthy and keeps growing, and so nothing lets go over a path in a decent wind.
