Arborlogix

Arborlogix is a consulting arboriculture practice based in Bondi, in Sydney's eastern suburbs. We do not cut or climb trees; our work is the reports, assessments and advice that sit behind good decisions about them. Michael Todd owns and runs the practice, with more than 20 years in arboriculture across the UK and Australia, and consultancy work before that in the US and Europe. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Arboriculture (AQF Level 8) and a Diploma of Arboriculture (AQF Level 5), is a Registered Consulting Arborist with Arboriculture Australia (member #2471), and is certified in tree risk assessment through both the ISA (TRAQ) and QTRA.

An arborist report is often the starting point, whether it is for a council application, a development site, an insurance claim or a dispute with a neighbour over a tree. Where a project affects existing trees, we prepare arboricultural impact assessment reports and take on project arborist consulting and DA certification, calculating the tree protection zones and structural root zones to AS 4970-2009 so the trees worth keeping are properly looked after through the build.

We also carry out tree safety and risk assessments, tree audits across larger sites and portfolios, and tree health diagnostics when something is not right and you want to know why before you act. For new planting we give tree species selection advice so the right tree goes in the right spot, and where roots are the concern we produce root mapping reports that show what is going on below ground. Reports for legal and insurance matters are part of the work too.

We work with residential owners, government bodies and commercial clients right across the Greater Sydney metropolitan area, down through Wollongong and along the NSW South Coast.
