ArborScape Consulting exists in good part to fill a gap: the rural and regional councils and communities that can't easily get qualified tree advice close to home. We're a consulting arboriculture practice in Newtown, on the edge of Toowoomba, and a reports-and-advice firm rather than a cutting crew, so what you get from us is the assessment, the plan or the documentation your tree question needs, prepared and signed off by a qualified arborist. Callum Edwards runs the practice as principal consultant, with more than a decade in tree management and senior arborist and urban forestry roles inside local government across Queensland and New South Wales behind him. He holds a Diploma of Arboriculture (AQF Level 5), Certificate II and III in Arboriculture, a Bachelor of Social Science in Environmental Studies and an MBA in sustainable business, and the practice is fully insured. We work for residential owners, commercial clients and government bodies alike.

Most jobs start with an arborist report, including the council-compliant kind, backed by tree health and safety reports and tree risk assessments when the real question is whether a tree is safe to keep and what to do about it if it isn't. Where a development is in the picture, we prepare arboricultural impact assessments, tree protection plans and tree retention plans, then stay on as project arborist to supervise and audit what happens inside the tree protection zones once the machinery arrives on site.

At a larger scale we run tree inventories, surveys and audits and the database and data-collection projects that sit behind them, and we prepare tree management plans, tree valuations and urban forest and tree policy for organisations planning for a whole canopy at once. We assess against the relevant standards and keep our own quality and environmental systems in order.

We're set up especially for regional and rural local governments, and Callum works from a rural property himself, so the country jobs are never an afterthought. We cover Toowoomba, Dalby, Warwick, Stanthorpe, Tenterfield, Ipswich, the Lockyer Valley, Brisbane, Logan, the Scenic Rim, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast, and we travel further afield when a job calls for it.
