The elms are the clearest example of what qualified work looks like here. Elm leaf beetle can strip a tree bare in a matter of weeks, and through a Victorian season there can be two or three generations of them, so the damage compounds and then spreads to the neighbours. Our elm leaf beetle treatment is chemical injection, and we favour stem injection over the soil method: small holes drilled into the trunk and imidacloprid or similar put straight in with a specialised stem injector. It reaches the leaves up to twice as fast as going through the soil, it is gentler on the ground around the tree and safe around children, pets and native animals, and one treatment holds for two to three years before it needs doing again.

The rest of the work runs to tree removal where a tree has failed or become a hazard, and tree pruning where the answer is less drastic. Ask about cable and bracing before you accept a removal quote from anyone, because a supported limb or a braced fork can keep a mature tree standing for years. Stump grinding finishes the ground off, weed removal deals with what is coming up around the trees, and our commercial tree services handle scheduled work for property managers and businesses.
