Hamish Clapham is a Certificate V arborist (AQF Level 5) who still climbs, and he started Asset Tree Care after years working alongside some of Mandurah's best arborists. There is more than a decade of practical field experience behind the business now, and the advice and the work come from the same hands. Hamish handpicked the crew, and they are the sort who will take on the jobs other people walk away from.

Our arborist reports are prepared to AS 4970-2025 for the protection of trees on development sites and AS 4373-2007 for the pruning of amenity trees. That covers the formal assessments a council wants attached to an application, regulated tree reports, tree risk management, and development and planning support where a tree has to be kept and built around. The recommendations are independent and evidence based, worked out from what is actually on the site.

On the tools we handle tree removal and tree pruning, palm tree services for the palms that have gone shabby and started dropping mess through the garden, and stump grinding to finish a removal off properly. Tree root management deals with roots getting into paving, pipes and footings, and there is land clearing for whole blocks plus mulch sales if you want the chip kept on site. We also do habitat creation, which is worth asking about before a dead tree gets written off entirely.

We take on body corporate and commercial tree management for strata groups, developers and commercial property managers, where the job is a whole site of trees, a shared budget and a duty of care to go with them. On the insurance side we carry $20 million in public liability, along with indemnity and work cover policies, and our safety policy is published on our site for anyone who wants to read it before they engage us.
