About This Business
Nineteen seventy-nine is the year our father David started Aussie Tree Services, and it has been family owned and operated ever since. Joshua and James Parry are the partners now, both having come up through the business working alongside him. Joshua handles management and the running of the business, employs and supervises the staff, and is the first person you will speak to about a job. James runs the workshop, keeps the plant and machinery maintained and sorts out who is going where. Both are consulting arborists, both TRAQ and QTRA certified, Joshua holding a Diploma of Horticulture (Arboriculture) and James a Diploma of Arboriculture, and each with better than 35 years in the industry behind him.
Our work area runs from Cervantes in the south up to Shark Bay and east as far as Meekatharra, worked out of the yard at Webberton just outside Geraldton, and it takes in the Midwest and the Gascoyne. Rural and remote is the ordinary shape of a week here, not the occasional trip away.
Distance changes how a job has to be planned. A block out past Meekatharra is a long way from a spare part or a second machine, so the gear leaves the yard maintained, checked and loaded for the whole job, and the crew that goes out carries what it needs to finish. Our equipment is up to date and complies with Australian Standards, and there is a full range of it for every size of work, which is why a big tree on a remote block is usually a question of scheduling for us before it is a question of access.
On the pruning side that means crown reduction, weight reduction, dead wood removal and shaping, and we are set up as a large tree specialist, so height on its own is seldom what stops a job. Where a tree has turned dangerous or diseased, tree removal is what it needs, and our stump grinding finishes the job off. The grindings normally stay in place of the stump or get spread through the garden beds, whichever suits you, and if you would like the logs left behind for firewood, tell the manager when we come out to quote.
Government and commercial clients keep us in roadside clearing and power line clearance alongside the domestic work, and because both partners are consulting arborists we take on arboricultural risk assessments and consultancy as well, for when a tree needs assessing and reporting on before anybody cuts anything. Our integrated management systems are certified by SAI Global to AS/NZS ISO 9001, AS/NZS ISO 14001:2016 and AS/NZS 45001:2018. Insurance is full and unrestricted across public liability, workers compensation and vehicle, plant and equipment, we are members of ArbWest, and our staff training is done in house and externally.
Quoting is free and without obligation in Geraldton and the surrounding areas, with a fee only where the distance is excessive, and the price holds for three months unless the site or the vegetation changes in the meantime. You do not have to be home while the work happens either, so long as pets are secured, gates are open and any cars are moved before the day. If a storm has brought a tree or a branch down, emergency storm damaged tree and branch removal is part of what we do. Ring the office and we will get a quote organised for you.
