Austral Tree Services

In 1993 this was simple tree care and stump removal for Adelaide homes and businesses. Austral Tree Services built its name over the years that followed on customer service and on pioneering safety practices, and more than thirty years later we run from a head office at Para Hills West in Adelaide's north as part of the Project Green Group.

What grew out of that start is a business working a long way past the back garden. We take on utilities and powerline vegetation management, where compliance near live conductors is not negotiable, so our people are extensively trained and licensed and we hold accreditation for the Powercor network in Victoria and Essential Energy in New South Wales. On civil projects along roads and railways we bring excavators, elevated work platforms, loaders, skid steers and stump grinders, and our commercial risk and asset management work is backed by ISO accreditation.

The part we built ourselves is eden4, our patented Green Asset Management platform. It tracks green assets and carries the workflow behind a job from assessment through to completion, and it is how we look after street and park trees for 70 per cent of South Australia's councils. On a tree population that size, the record has to be as dependable as the crew.

The everyday work has not gone anywhere. We still do tree pruning, tree removal and stump grinding on suburban blocks, and tree management for owners with enough trees to need the work planned across years instead of booked one job at a time. Our climbers work with rigging and crane support, we take on veteran tree care and excavator assisted removals, and the site is left immaculate when we leave. Timber that comes off a job is repurposed through Wood For Good. Every arborist here is certified, and we are fully licensed and insured.

From Para Hills West we reach across Adelaide and regional South Australia, with offices at Mildura and Swan Hill taking us into north western Victoria.
