About This Business
The Monitor Lift Platform Basket is a spider tower, and Australian Arboricultural Operations owns and operates one. It goes up when there is a canopy nobody should be climbing, and when we are not on it ourselves it goes out on wet hire, with our own trained and certified arborists running the tower for you and helping with the job in front of you. Mitch Seaward founded the business, there are 10 years in the tree industry behind it, and it is locally owned and run.
Before a word of your arborist report gets written, we meet you on site, walk the job and gather the tree and site data the report has to rest on. That takes a minimum of two hours, and it is the part that decides whether the document is worth anything. From there an onsite consultation with one of our AQF Level 5 project arborists determines the tree protection measures and tree maintenance required under AS 4970-2009 Protection of Trees on Development Sites, and we can stay on the job for onsite supervision so those measures are still in place once the machinery is moving. Tree risk assessments, health and condition assessments and tree site inspections sit alongside the reports.
Our arborists are Australian certified at AQF Level 3 and our project arborists at AQF Level 5, and all pruning is carried out to AS 4373-2007 Pruning of Amenity Trees. Tree maintenance, pruning and safe tree removals make up the everyday work, with tree planting, stump grinding, garden mulching, weed management, mulch sales and excavator hire around them. Jobs run from a single residential block through to large scale commercial projects, for homeowners, business owners, government organisations and local councils. The service area takes in Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Beaudesert, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba, and reaches down into northern New South Wales through Tweed Heads, Kingscliff, Byron Bay, Pottsville, Lennox Head, Lismore and Ballina. We travel interstate for the jobs that warrant it.
Product and public liability cover runs to twenty million dollars and professional indemnity to five million. We are current members of the Queensland Arboricultural Association, a QAA approved contractor and consultant, and members of the International Society of Arboriculture, and we keep those memberships up for the development and training that come with them. The office is open 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday on request, and the emergency storm damage line runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call, text or email 0402 209 925 for a free onsite quote, or to book the spider tower for the day.
