About This Business
The Tasmanian chapter of Australian Tree Care started in Launceston in 2000, and Frank Rosol has led it since. He holds a Certificate III in Arboriculture with over 25 years of industry experience behind the qualification, and the way the business runs hasn't changed much in that time: turn up, say what the tree actually needs, and charge a fair rate for doing it.
Frank's own interest is tree styling and the long-term health of heritage trees, which is why a good many clients have him back year after year to look after their special feature trees. A tree that has been shaped properly holds that form for a long time, so the work is worth doing carefully the first time round. Canopy reduction is the practical end of the same skill: bringing a crown back in off a roof or a boundary and still leaving something that looks like a tree afterwards.
Where a tree has to come out, we handle tree removals and tree felling in tight suburban backyards and on open rural ground alike, including hazardous tree removal for the City of Launceston. Risk reduction and management is the step that comes before that, going over a tree properly and taking off what's likely to fail while you still have the choice about it. If you need the position in writing, our tree reports and assessments set out a tree's condition and the risk it carries, which is what a council, an insurer or a planner will ask to see.
Not everything here is a saw job. Elm beetle control is one of ours, and service line clearing is another, keeping growth off the wires running into a property. Whatever comes off our jobs gets chipped, and we sell mulch from it, so a load can go straight onto your garden beds.
We service Launceston and wider Tasmania, taking in the state's north, the central districts and the east coast. The phone is answered 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday, and emergency callouts and storm damage are part of what we do. Fill in the quote form with the service you need and a description of the job, or ring either of our numbers, and we'll come and look at the tree.
