Ballarat Tree Fella

Ballarat Tree Fella was built from the ground up by Tony Coxall and has been in operation for over 25 years. It is not a suburban backyard operation. The company specialises in supplying amenity tree services to local and state government departments and to the civil construction industry, which is a different kind of work to the average removal job. The office and main depot sit at Delacombe, with a second depot out at Clarendon.

Roadside work is the signature. Roadside tree trimming and removals and roadside vegetation grooming are listed separately, and both are the sort of job done under traffic management for a council or a road authority rather than in a front yard. Environmental vegetation control and site clearing round out the civil side, clearing ground ahead of construction and keeping growth in check where it is not wanted.

The domestic services are all there too. Tree removal and stump removal cover the obvious. Formative pruning shapes young trees so they grow with decent structure instead of needing corrective work in ten years, and dead wooding strips the dead limbs out of an established canopy before they come down on their own. Storm damage clean up is on the list as well.

Two things set the service list apart from a crew with a chipper and a ute. EWP hire means the elevated work platform can be hired on its own rather than only turning up attached to a job, which suits anyone with their own high work to do. And mulch sales send the by-product of all that trimming back out the gate as a product instead of a tipping fee.

For the paperwork end, consultations by qualified arborists are available for tree health, condition and management questions. The staff are described as highly qualified, trained and experienced, which on government contract work is less a slogan than a condition of getting on site.
