Boe started BDS Tree Care and still runs it. He's a qualified arborist with a Certificate III in Arboriculture and more than ten years of hands-on tree work, the business is locally owned and operated out of Riverside just across the river from Launceston, we're fully insured, and the number you ring is his.

The trees we get called to are usually in one of four states. Some have gone dangerous or unstable and are threatening whatever sits underneath them. Some have been hollowed out by termites and give nothing away from the footpath. Some have already come down in a storm and are lying across a fence or a roof. Others have a parasite in them and are going backwards a season at a time. Tree removal and tree cutting deal with the ones past saving, in tight suburban blocks as readily as on open ground.

Where a tree can be saved, it usually should be. Tree trimming and pruning takes the weight and the reach out of a canopy, deadwooding clears the dry limbs that come down first in a blow, and tree thinning opens a crown so wind and light move through it. There's still a place for tree lopping on the right tree, and where a heavy limb or a weak union needs holding, tree support systems can buy it years. If you're not sure which way to go, a tree inspection will settle it.

Once a tree is down, stump grinding and stump removal get the last of it out of your way, and tree branch removal handles the single limb that turns out to be the only real problem. On the garden side we take on hedge trimming and general garden maintenance, and everything cut can go through the chipper for mulching and woodchipping. The bigger jobs get the tub grinder, and site clearing puts a block back to bare ground for a build.

Power line clearances, traffic control and insurance work all sit on the books alongside the ordinary backyard jobs, so a tree on a road reserve, or one your insurer is paying for, gets run the way that kind of job has to be run.
