Forty three years in the arborist and tree surgery trade sit behind Bennett's Tree Service, and it is still the family running it out of Redhead on the Newcastle coast. The rule we work to is a plain one: the job has to be as good as, or better than, it was when we got there. That means the mess leaves with us and the ground goes back the way we found it before we drive off.

Trees come out for all sorts of reasons, and we take them down whole or in sections depending on what is sitting underneath them. Tree lopping and palm tree removal are part of that, stump grinding takes care of what is still in the ground afterwards, and our woodchipping and green waste removal saves you staring at a pile in the driveway for a fortnight.

Living where we do, salt and wind decide a good deal of what a tree can cope with, and our coastal tree management work is built around exactly that. Tree pruning and trimming keeps a canopy safe and in shape without stripping it back to bare wood, and bamboo removal sorts out the runners that get away from people once they take hold.

Plenty of our work comes with paperwork and coordination attached. Powerline clearing keeps vegetation off the services, and we handle strata and real estate jobs for property managers alongside commercial and civil contracts. Where a council application or a tree management decision needs backing, we prepare arborist reports, and as a certified tree surgeon and qualified arborist we are fully insured for all of it.

We are on the tools seven days a week from 7am to 7pm, and we are available 24/7 when a storm brings a tree down or one turns into an immediate risk to somebody. You will find us across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, taking in Redhead, Belmont, Charlestown, Warners Bay, Swansea, Dudley, Whitebridge and Jewells, and out to Maitland.
