Before a tree can come down on the Sunshine Coast there is often an approval to deal with first, and walking you through the council permits is part of the job at Branch Creek Tree Services. We are family owned and operated, founded by qualified arborist Ben McDonald, and there is more than twenty years of tree work behind the crew. Everyone on it is a qualified climbing arborist carrying industry certifications, and we are fully insured on every job we take.

Tree removal is what we get called about when a tree has died, split or started dropping limbs, and because we climb, we can dismantle one in sections from inside the canopy on blocks where nothing bigger would ever fit. A dangerous tree is its own kind of work, and our hazardous tree removal covers the compromised trunk, the stem with a crack running up it and the one leaning over a roof. Those come down piece by piece on ropes, with the rigging set before anyone starts cutting.

Not every tree needs to go. An established tree holds its structure with tree pruning, which takes the weight off the limbs carrying too much of it, and tree lopping brings a tree back under control once it has grown into a roofline or out over a neighbour's fence. After a blow comes through, our storm damage cleanup clears the fallen timber and makes safe whatever is left standing and unsound.

Trees on the coast are habitat as well as timber, and our wildlife protection practices are there to safeguard native animals while the work goes on. Between that, the permits and the rigging, a fair bit of what we do on a job happens before the first cut is made.

Our crews cover the coast and the hinterland behind it, working in Noosa, Coolum, Maroochydore, Buderim, Nambour, Caloundra, Maleny and Beerwah, along with the communities sitting between them.
