Branch Management

A chainsaw, a car and a box trailer is what Branch Management started with in 1999, working the Port Stephens region as a one person operation. Shelley Langan ran it for twenty three years before handing it over to Bianca and Kasie Sheridan in 2024, and Bianca is the owner operator you deal with now. We work out of Charlestown these days, with a full crew and the plant to go with it.

Peter, Lachlan and Cameron are AQF3 arborists and Hugo is on the ground with them. Across the team we hold WHS, first aid, tree felling and spikeless climbing, aerial rescue, chainsaw and traffic control certificates, working at heights, elevated work platform, dogging, ChemCert, basic firefighting and heavy vehicle training. We carry twenty million dollars of public and products liability, workers compensation, and plant and vehicle cover.

On the tools that means tree removal, taking in the large ones and the dead ones that are no longer safe to leave standing, plus tree pruning, tree lopping, tree cutting and hedge trimming where the job is really about keeping a garden in order. Stump grinding and stump removal clears the ground afterwards, and our chipping turns the green waste into mulch on site.

When a tree needs diagnosing or documenting, our tree reports and assessments and aerial inspections cover bracket fungus, borers, bark splitting, bark inclusions and deadwood, and we prepare the tree management plans and development application material councils ask for. We also handle the council tree removal applications themselves, for Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock, Port Stephens and the Central Coast.

Block clearing and land clearing deal with overgrown ground whatever the size of it. We work across residential and strata, real estate, civil and infrastructure and commercial, and we take on insurance work and school work too. Emergency tree work and storm damage response runs 24 hours a day, because that is when trees tend to let go.
