About This Business

Some trees are not coming down a rope, and that is why we keep crane tree removal on the list beside the general work. A crane lifts each section clear over the roof, the pool or the neighbour's fence instead of threading it through them, and on a tight block around Kiama that is what makes the removal possible at all. Burnett Trees was established at Jamberoo in 2000 by Andrew Burnett and is led today by Josh Levoi, who started here as an apprentice and worked his way to the top of the tree. We are fully insured, and our 41 Google reviews sit at a straight five out of five.

Our roots are in Kiama and the branches stretch out from there: Gerringong, Berry, Shoalhaven Heads, Nowra, Kangaroo Valley, Jamberoo, Albion Park, Oak Flats, Shellharbour, Dapto, Mount Pleasant, Wollongong, Thirroul, Woonona, Stanwell Park and Coalcliff. Homeowners, body corporates, farm owners, businesses and property managers are all on the books.

One local job tells you what we are for. A lilly pilly had split down the trunk beside a preschool, the owner could hear it creaking, and when the SES came out to look at it we were the crew they called in. The tree was deemed unsafe for the dwellings and the children next door, and it was on the ground safely and quickly. Not every cracked tree ends that way, though. Where a limb or a union can be held, our cable and bracing work supports it, and tree retention is a service in its own right here because a tree kept standing is usually the better outcome for the property.

The everyday side covers tree removal assessed and planned before anything is cut, palm tree removal as its own line, and tree pruning aimed at the health of the tree and the safety of what stands under it. Stump grinding clears the ground for new plantings or fresh turf, and block clearance gets a site ready for a build. What comes off the job leaves as firewood and mulch for somebody else to use.
