CBR Trees

Since 2003 I've been working as an arborist, and more than two decades of that has been spent in Canberra's trees. CBR Trees is where that experience goes now: certified tree care delivered by a Certificate III in Arboriculture qualified and Evo Accredited arborist. Safety, care for the environment and finishing a job properly are what I work to, and you'll get the same answer from me on a small hedge as on a tree with a house under it.

What I specialise in is the complex and high risk end of tree removal: the tree that's oversized, dead on its feet, or standing too close to something you can't afford to damage. That's where precision crane work earns its keep, the tree cut down in sections with each piece lifted out clear over the roof rather than dropped anywhere near it. Hazardous, diseased or simply unwanted trees come out safely and efficiently, and the ground, the garden and the structures around them are left in the state I found them.

For the trees staying put, pruning and trimming keeps them healthy, better structured and safer, taking out the dead or hazardous branches and encouraging balanced growth for the long run. I clear the deadwood out of a canopy while I'm up there, and hedge and shrub maintenance keeps a hedge dense and in shape before it starts crowding whatever is planted next to it. I work throughout Canberra and well past the ACT border, out to Hall, Jerrabomberra, Googong, Murrumbateman, Yass, Bungendore, Gundaroo, Michelago, Sutton, Royalla and Wamboin.

Not every tree problem is solved with a saw. I carry out tree health and disease management, which means a proper health assessment, a diagnosis of what's actually wrong, pest management where that's the cause, and a treatment plan to carry a tree through an infestation or a run of environmental stress. When a tree does have to come out, stump grinding and removal finishes it off: no trip hazard left behind, no regrowth, and a level surface you can replant or landscape whenever you're ready.

If a storm brings a tree down or leaves one hanging, ring me. Emergency tree services get me there quickly to take the hazardous debris and unstable limbs off the property and make the site safe again.
