If you are on a larger property and you need ground cover or fill, our lower grade mulch is free. It is palm, coral tree and camphor laurel mixed through our top grade mulch, and there is usually plenty of it going. Pruning is a health measure. A correctly pruned tree has better structure and a longer future in front of it, and the work runs from raising a low canopy and taking out diseased branches through to letting more sunlight down, reducing the weight in heavy limbs and bringing a tree back into balance. Tree lopping and shaping sits alongside that, and our tree assessment and advice means you can find out what a tree actually needs before you commit to anything drastic.

Some trees have run out of options. Too close to a building, lifting the path with their roots, leaning where they did not lean last year, or damaged past saving in a storm. We use standard tree climbing, rope and rigging techniques to dismantle and remove them safely, working the tree down in pieces where there is nowhere to drop it in one go.

Once a tree is down the stump grinding follows, and getting the stump out clears the thing you keep tripping over, closes off a home for pests, stops disease spreading into nearby plants and prevents the regrowth some species will keep attempting. Our woodchipping converts the fallen branches and cut timber into leaf mulch that goes straight back onto your garden instead of into a tip.

We also sell good firewood and leaf mulch by the loose cubic metre. A full truck runs to roughly 10 to 12 cubic metres and a half truck around 5 to 6, and the load is tipped as close to where you want it as safe access allows, on ground flat enough for the truck and well clear of overhead wires.
