From Kirribilli to Palmy, and everywhere in between, is the patch we have worked since 2002. Cheery Chops is David's business, with better than 25 years in the industry behind it, and our arborists are licensed, certified and insured. We follow industry safe work practices on every site, which on this side of the harbour usually means rigging a tree down over a roof, a deck or a set of stairs that nobody wants touched.

Plenty of homes up here were bought for the outlook, and a canopy has a way of quietly closing it in over ten or fifteen years. Our view enhancement work opens that back up. It is done by selective pruning, so the tree keeps its shape and its health while you get the water and the sky back, and it is a different job from simply cutting the top out of something. Our arborists are trained in selective pruning and cutting techniques for exactly this reason, because the cuts you make in year one decide what the tree looks like in year five.

The rest of the work is straightforward enough. We take on tree pruning and tree removal, we follow up with stump grinding so the ground is usable again, and we handle land clearing where a block has got away from its owner. We also take end of lease rubbish removals, which tenants and property managers use to get a place cleared before handover.

When a tree comes down or a limb splits out in a storm, our emergency tree service gets there quickly and makes the site safe. The ute and the chipper truck come with us, so what has fallen goes on the truck the same visit and you are not left with a driveway full of branches.
