Chris Walshe has been a qualified arborist for over twenty years, and he is an Approved Registered Consulting Arborist for Arboriculture Australia as well as a member of the International Society of Arboriculture. Climbing High Tree Services runs from Watsonia North across Melbourne's north east, and what we sell is specialist advice on managing trees in an urban setting, aimed at cutting hazard and keeping the natural value of a tree that is worth keeping.

The removals we are known for are the ones with no room in them. Being an Approved Registered Consulting Arborist also means we can put it in writing. Our arborist reports go to councils, developers and homeowners who need a qualified assessment of a tree's health, its safety, or whether it should be retained at all, and we carry a million dollars of indemnity insurance behind that opinion. Every pruning job we do is carried out to AS 4373-2007, the Australian Standard for the pruning of amenity trees.

Alongside that sits the day to day work: tree removal, tree lopping, and tree pruning and shaping to keep a canopy balanced and clear of the building. Older trees worth holding on to get cable and bracing through the weak limbs and unions, and we take the ground back with stump removal once a tree has gone. Chris handles the pest control side himself, including elm leaf beetle injections for the elms that are everywhere through Melbourne's older suburbs. We carry twenty million dollars of public liability along with WorkCover, and every licensed member of the team holds a current Police Check and Working With Children Check.

Whatever goes through the chipper comes back out as mulch supply for gardens that can use it.
