Coastal Tree Care

Westminster Abbey, 10 Downing Street and London's Royal Parks are all places our owner has pruned trees. Chris spent two years working in London and came home with a preference for keeping trees rather than removing them. He runs Coastal Tree Care out of Umina on the Central Coast, he holds a Certificate III in Arboriculture from Kurri Kurri TAFE, and the business is fully insured.

Chris is the one who comes out to quote your job and the one who climbs it on the day. On a residential block that matters, because the person judging the drop zone from up in the tree is the same person who worked out the price standing on your lawn. There is no salesperson in between, and nobody turns up on the day who has not already seen the tree.

He is experienced across the whole of the work, from large removals using a crane through to small pruning jobs. Where a trunk has to come down over a house or a fence line, a crane is often the sensible way to do it. He specialises in the pruning and detailing of large trees, working them into an asset for the property.

After a removal, stump grinding and tree root and stump removal finish the job off so the lawn can be levelled and replanted. The woodchipping and mulching is done on site, and what comes off your trees does not simply disappear into a tip. We sell mulch and split firewood to locals who want it, so the timber stays in the neighbourhood it grew in.

Chris has also carried out contract tree works for the former Gosford and Wyong councils, where the standard of skilled work and the OHS requirements sit higher than they do on a domestic job. That is the standard that comes with us into a suburban backyard, and it is why the gear turns up clean and maintained and the site is left tidy when we go.
