Coffs Coast Tree Services was founded in 2017 by Jye Rouillon, who grew up doing this work and has built it into one of the busier outfits on the Coffs Coast. The crew are fully qualified Cert III arborists, with younger team members brought along and trained on the job. Local customers name Luke, Martin, Dean and Sage in their reviews, which tells you it is a settled team rather than a rotating one.

The core services are tree removal, tree pruning, stump grinding and land clearing, with emergency tree services available around the clock when a tree comes down across a driveway or leans onto a roof after a storm. Alongside those there is flail mowing, mulch sales and EWP hire, so material coming off one job can go back out as mulch and the machinery is available to other trades as well.

The equipment page is worth a look, because the fleet is what decides which jobs a tree firm can actually take. There are two Bandit stump grinders and a late model Bandit 15 inch capacity brush chipper, Stihl and Husqvarna saws, a two tonne Bobcat excavator with a rotating hydraulic grab and digging buckets, and a late model Hino four wheel drive tipper truck. For the heavier work there is a Volvo FM7 rigid truck with a 12 tonne payload and a Mecalac 6MCR, a six tonne skid steer and excavator that runs bucket attachments, a hydraulic rotating grab and a flail mower.

The piece that solves the hardest jobs is the compact remote controlled tracked EWP: 18 metres high, 10 metres of outreach, and narrow enough to fit through a one metre gap. That is what gets a climber safely into a tree behind a house without pulling a fence down to do it. The flail mower attachment for the mini excavator is purpose built for tight access mulching and will take trees up to 100mm in diameter, which suits overgrown blocks and regrowth along fence lines.

Work spans residential properties, rural blocks and commercial sites across Coffs Harbour and the surrounding Coffs Coast, and the client list includes Local Land Services NSW, Coffs Harbour High School, Rainbow Cottage Early Learning Centre, Arakoon Homes and Vision Property Sales. Regular hours are 6am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with emergency call outs available 24/7. The company makes a point of leaving the property neat and tidy once the job is finished.
