Complete Vegetation Management (CVM)

Since 2006 our arborists have been working the trees of Melbourne's northern suburbs, and Complete Vegetation Management (CVM) has grown out of that into a fully insured crew looking after homeowners, builders and councils. Years in the one part of town teach you which trees the local council protects, which ones it will let you take out, and what a permit application needs before it gets across the line. Every job is worked to AS 4373-2007 and every job gets its own SWMS written before a saw comes off the truck.

Some trees have to go. Tree removal and tree felling on a tight block, where the drop zone is a fence line or a pool, is work we set up slowly and clean up completely. Once the timber is gone we can grind the stump out below the surface, so you can lay turf or paving straight over the top, and where a full stump removal is not practical, tree stump poisoning will stop the regrowth instead. Nothing has to go to landfill either. Our mulching services turn what comes off the job into usable mulch that we will leave with you or deliver.

Not every tree needs the chainsaw. Tree pruning lets light back into a yard and takes the weight off limbs hanging over a roof, hedge trimming keeps a boundary off the footpath and out of a neighbour's view, and tall or overgrown palms are handled through our palm tree cleaning and removal with no mess left behind. On trees worth keeping that have started to split, we fit cable bracing and tree support to the weak unions. Our certified arborists also carry out tree risk assessments and tree health inspections that pick up decay, disease or stress early, and write council-ready arborist reports for permits, planning and removals.

We also work for people who look after somebody else's property. Strata and property managers use us for fixed-cost work that settles a tenant complaint the same week. Builders and developers bring us in before the site opens, to clear building zones and get the paperwork on protected species approved, and we handle commercial tree removal for schools, councils and larger sites under full public liability and indemnity cover. Schools get us around bell times and term dates, and aged care and healthcare grounds get paths and garden beds made safe with as little disruption to residents as we can manage.
