CraneSaw Tree Services

The name comes from the gear. CraneSaw Tree Services runs a custom built crane and grapple saw, so a big tree can be cut and lifted out in sections over the top of a fence, a shed or a pool instead of being dropped anywhere near them. We are a small South Australian family business with over 20 years in the tree trimming and lopping trade, and Rohan, who holds a Diploma in Arboriculture, is the lead arborist and the one who will come and look at your job.

We are specialists in difficult and dangerous tree removal, including dying pine trees and dead stringybarks. We can get into the hard to reach trees at the back of a property, and we make sure no branches end up in your neighbour's yard, or worse, on the fence. Every job gets cleaned up before we leave.

Tree lopping is the removal of the crown, and it suits a healthy tree that has simply got too big for where it is, particularly around powerlines. Tree trimming keeps a tree in shape without taking it back further than it needs. If we can save a tree we will, and we will say so when that is the better option.

Trees get sick as well as overgrown, so we handle pest and disease management, including elm leaf beetle treatment and general tree health work. We can also put together an arborist report when you need a tree's condition set out in writing.

Out on larger blocks we do commercial and rural tree removal and bush fire hazard reduction, where we assess the property and manually reduce the fire load in a safe and responsible way. After a blow, our storm damage crew can be on site quickly to clear fallen trees and hanging branches before anything else gets damaged, and we do stump grinding to finish off. We recycle our green waste into mulch or organic fertiliser, and any usable timber goes off to specialty mills.

We are fully licensed and insured, our arborists and loppers are too, and we carry public liability up to $20 million. We work through the Adelaide Hills, the foothills and Adelaide's eastern suburbs, taking in Burnside, Stirling, Unley, Campbelltown, Blackwood, Norwood, Mitcham, Kensington, St Peters, Aberfoyle Park and Flagstaff Hill.
