Give us a tree tucked behind a house or hard against a boundary and our Monitor spider lift will still get to it: an all terrain machine that runs on 240V and reaches up to 27 metres. Behind it sits a 4 tonne excavator kitted out with a log grab, stick rake, slashing head and rippers, a 20 tonne machine running tree shears, a Vermeer skid steer for shifting logs and brush around your property, and a Bandit 1590XP chipper with an oversized opening that swallows more in every load.

When a tree has got away from you, tree pruning and tree lopping will clear out the dead and overgrown branches and bring it back to the shape you want. Where it has to come out for good, we take on tree removal at residential, commercial and rural properties no matter how awkward the position, and our Vermeer stump grinder follows up to take the stump a foot below the surface, so you are left with clean level ground ready for turf, paving or a new planting. Plenty of trees are worth keeping, though, and our tree health assessments and tree inspections pick up decay, damage or odd growth patterns before they turn into a real problem, with tree maintenance to keep things right year to year.

Cut Above Tree Care started in 2013 and is led by our trade qualified Managing Director, Corey Drennen. Corey has more than 15 years in the tree industry behind him, ten of those servicing the Maranoa and the last five around the Toowoomba region. Our arborists are certified, we hold Queensland Arboricultural membership, and we work for householders and on major projects for local and state government agencies alike.

We do our mulching on site, turning green waste into mulch that holds moisture and keeps the weeds down once it goes back on your garden beds, and our 4700B Peterson grinder will process 350 tonnes an hour when the volume warrants it. Green waste management takes care of safe disposal for everything else, and at the heavier end we handle land clearing for developers, builders and homeowners, along with roadside clearing alongside councils and road authorities to keep vegetation back from roads and public land.

Weather out here does not wait for business hours, so our emergency storm damage response runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If a tree has come down across your driveway or is leaning on the roof, ring us and we will get it made safe.
