A tree usually becomes our problem in one of two ways. Either it has turned into a hazard, gone diseased or been knocked about by a storm, or it is standing exactly where a build, a driveway or a landscaping job has to go. We have worked across Wollongong, Woonona, Dapto and Shellharbour on both since 2010, which is more than fifteen years of it, and we run Dingo's Tree Services from North Wollongong with licensed, fully insured arborists on the crew.

Taking a tree down in a built up street is a dismantling job, not a felling one. We assess the tree first, then bring it down in pieces using techniques chosen for the space we have, so the fence, the roofline and the garden underneath come through it untouched. Once the trunk is gone the stump grinding takes the remainder below surface level, which leaves the area smooth and ready for turf, a new planting or a slab, with nothing left to trip over or shoot away again.

Where trees are staying, our tree pruning and maintenance clears the dead and overgrown branches and improves the structure of what is left, which is what keeps a weak limb from becoming storm damage later on. For bigger jobs we take on land clearing, removing trees, shrubs and debris to get a site ready for development or simply to get access back. What comes off those jobs does not go to waste: our mulch and woodchip is recycled from the work and sold on for garden beds, pathways and erosion control, where it holds moisture in and keeps weeds down.
