Douglas Treecraft is a family-run tree business on the New South Wales Central Coast, owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Chris and Kelly Douglas and backed by a crew of five. Palm cleaning and removal is another speciality, dealing with the fronds and fruit that create mess and slip hazards, with palms cleaned, trimmed or removed neatly even where access is tight or the work sits in an enclosed courtyard.

When a tree is dead, hazardous, poorly located or actively causing damage, tree removal is handled with the same care, and the crew will safely dismantle and remove it even in confined spaces. Stump grinding can be arranged afterwards so the area can be replanted or paved, and where a job needs council permission depending on species, size and location, Douglas Treecraft will advise what is typical and help with the next steps rather than leaving the paperwork to the customer.

Emergency and storm response is a priority service. If a tree has failed or is at immediate risk, a phone call gets the job moved up the list so the property can be made safe. All work is carried out to Australian Standard AS 4373 by qualified crews with proper PPE and documented risk assessments, and the business carries 20 million dollars in public liability insurance plus workers compensation cover for its employees. Chris also volunteers with Wildlife ARC, and the team offer animal rescue, an uncommon addition for a tree company and a fair indicator of how they approach the canopy.
