Problem tree? No problem is the line across the front of our website, and it is there because that is what most of the calls are about. A split trunk. A leaner over the fence. A stem that has hollowed out and cannot simply be dropped where it stands. Dangerous trees are one of the two things we name as a specialty, and Dynamic Tree Works has been the family run business behind that work since 2018.

Christjan Peters owns and operates it. He is a fully qualified arborist who has been in the industry for over fifteen years, an experienced climber, and the person who will answer when you ring. Based at Pambula on the far south coast, Christjan and the team travel throughout the Bega Valley and beyond it down to Mallacoota and the districts around there. We are fully insured.

Confined space removal is the second specialty, and it is the job that explains why climbing is the skill this business leans on. When a tree stands somewhere no truck and no elevated platform will ever reach, wedged between a house and a boundary fence with barely a path between them, there is no drop zone and there is no machine coming to help. So somebody goes up on ropes and the tree comes down in pieces, every one of them rigged and lowered by hand onto the only clear patch of ground there is. It is slow work, and on a tight block it is the only way that tree is ever coming out.

The habitat work is the part of our list people ask about. We install habitat boxes and we cut natural carved hollows, which means shaping a hollow into a trunk or a limb that stays standing, so possums, parrots and gliders have somewhere to nest. A natural hollow is not something a property can replace quickly, and it is the first thing lost when an old tree comes down. Carving one back into a retained stem gives you a middle option, between leaving a hazardous tree whole and clearing the ground flat.

The rest is the everyday work: tree removal, pruning and trimming, general tree care and maintenance, site clearing for a block being got ready, and palms, which anyone on this coast watching fronds come down has thought about at least once. Emergency works and storm damage response are on the books too. Our hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, with weekends by appointment, so if the only time you can meet us at the tree is a Saturday morning, say so when you call.
