Eco Land Management Solutions (ELMS)

Eco Land Management Solutions, or ELMS, is a Tamworth based tree and land management business run by Andrew Ferris and Brad Halloran, with more than a decade behind it. Between them the team holds Cert III arborist qualifications along with tickets in horticulture, Level III chainsaw operations and landscape construction, and the business is fully insured. It works right across the Northwest, New England and Hunter regions.

On the tree side, ELMS covers tree removal and specialises in tree pruning, from crown lifting and thinning to formative pruning, reductions, dead wooding and line clearing, all done to Australian Standard AS4373 as a minimum. Where a tree is too big or awkward to reach from the ground, the crew works as climbing arborists or off an elevated work platform to get to it safely.

Not every problem tree needs the saw. Certified arborists carry out tree health assessments and pest and disease management, including stem-injection treatment of Elm Leaf Beetle and management of Cypress Canker, so a valuable tree can often be treated rather than lost. Tree planting with proper species selection rounds out the arboriculture, and stump grinding clears up after any removal.

The land management side is where ELMS goes beyond a standard tree service. Alongside the arboriculture it takes on landscaping, broader land management and fencing, so a rural block or a commercial site can have its trees, ground and boundaries handled by the one crew rather than juggling several contractors.

When a storm rolls through, ELMS provides emergency storm damage cleanup and after-hours make-safe work, around the clock when it is needed, and the team works alongside the SES during major events. Registered as insurance workers, they can handle the insurance clean up side of a claim as well. The business covers Tamworth, Gunnedah, Armidale and the surrounding districts.
