Ecologic Tree Service

The Shire of Denmark, the City of Albany, the Shire of Manjimup, the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage are all commercial clients of ours, alongside private property owners right through the region. Ecologic Tree Service was started in 2006 by Albert Adams and Andrea Jones with little more than a truck and a chipper. Ben McGovern has run it since 2019 and bought it with his wife Holly in 2023, and it works today off a fleet of vehicles with a crew of certified arborists on the tools.

Tree removal takes in hazardous, overgrown and unwanted trees of any size, and the equipment we run, aerial lifts for the aerial work and purpose built grinders on the ground, is what keeps the disruption to your property down while a big one comes out in pieces. The routine side of it is tree trimming and pruning, which heads off disease, brings down the risk of branches dropping and keeps a tree growing the way it should be.

Stump grinding and removal clears out what is left in the ground so there is nothing to trip over and you can get on with the landscaping. When something is wrong with a tree and the cause is not obvious, our arborists carry out tree health assessments, diagnosing pests, disease or structural weakness and giving you practical recommendations you can actually act on. That might be treatment and ongoing care, or it might be the news that a tree has gone past saving, but either way you get told what we found and why.

Keeping waste down matters to us: materials are recycled where they can be, and the tree care techniques we use are chosen with the surrounding bush in mind. We also install habitat boxes on properties we work on, which brings black cockatoos and other hollow dwelling fauna back into trees that no longer have hollows of their own. We work on Minang and Bibbulmun country and acknowledge the Noongar people as its Traditional Owners.
