Thirty years of combined experience sits behind Emerald Tree Services. Ben and Nikki lead it, it is family owned, and Ben and the crew are certified arborists holding Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. What began as tree work has grown into three things: the arboriculture, a mulch and firewood supply run, and a wet hire fleet, and all three come off the same trucks and the same crew.

From Emerald the run goes out to Longreach in one direction and Clermont in the other, taking in Comet, Blackwater, Bluff, Capella, Rubyvale, Springsure, Rolleston and the country between them. Residential and commercial clients, agribusinesses and local councils all get the same crew, and safety, workmanship and environmental sustainability are planned into a job from the first site visit rather than bolted on at the end.

The hire side is the part people do not expect from a tree company. Our Raymond Grey EWP bucket truck reaches 21 metres high and 14 metres out with a complete 360 degree turn, and it goes out on wet hire with a driver and a spotter included. The 1.8 tonne Caterpillar mini excavator hires the same way, and it is the machine for precise digging, site preparation and material handling where the space is tight. Landscapers, builders and council crews take both, and it is the same well maintained machinery we run on our own arboricultural jobs, which is the reason it is looked after.

Back on the arboriculture, tree removals take out the hazardous and the unwanted without damage to what is around them, and where a tree does not have to go, lopping brings overgrown or dangerous branches back into line. Regular pruning and trimming clears the dead and diseased wood so a tree holds a balanced structure. Stump grinding and stump removal handles whatever is left in the ground, which stops the regrowth and keeps a site clear for landscaping or construction, and our land clearing takes trees, brush and debris off a property being readied for development. Nothing off those jobs is wasted: we deliver sustainably sourced mulch and firewood straight to you across the region, which saves you a trip and a trailer.

Our operating hours are twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, and that is not a slogan. Emergency tree work gets an immediate response, because a failed tree stays a hazard until somebody deals with it properly.
