Before any of this was a business in Hectorville, Terry was working on trees for the UK National Trust, the Royal Parks and the Open Spaces, and in the private sector alongside them. He has been a qualified arborist since 1997, which is also when Evergreen Tree Services SA was established. It is still a small family business, fully insured, and that background is the reason an old tree here gets treated as something worth keeping where it can be.

Our gear is battery operated, from the hedge cutters through to the chainsaws and pole pruners, with the latest safety features on them. That is quieter for your neighbours and cleaner for the garden, and on a suburban block where the work is happening a few metres from a bedroom window it makes a real difference to the day.

Hedge cutting and maintenance is work we take seriously rather than treat as an afterthought, and it is a large part of keeping an established garden looking deliberate. For the trees themselves, tree pruning and tree lopping keep a canopy in shape and off the roof, palm tree trimming and removals handle the palms and their fronds, and tree surgery covers the more careful interventions on a tree worth saving.

Where a tree has to go, tree felling and the removal of dead and dangerous trees are planned around what sits underneath, and stump removals clear the ground afterwards. A tree evaluation comes first when you are not sure what you are dealing with. After a rough night, our storm damage cleanup gets the property back in order. Everything that comes off goes through mulching and firewood recycling, so the timber has somewhere useful to go.

We cover Adelaide's eastern and metropolitan suburbs, including Hectorville, Burnside, Norwood, Magill, Athelstone, Campbelltown, Paradise, Golden Grove, Walkerville, Glenunga, Rostrevor, Toorak Gardens and Hope Valley, and we head up into the Adelaide Hills to Stirling, Crafers, Aldgate, Bridgewater, Uraidla and Summertown. We are on the tools Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, and Saturday mornings until 1pm.
