Our team holds an AQF Certificate III in Arboriculture and we are accredited to carry out work in and around NSW schools, which means we are cleared for sites where the rules are a good deal tighter than a back garden. Ezi Cut Tree Services is family owned and has been working the Southern Highlands since 2003, and the phone is on Monday to Sunday, twenty four hours a day.

The base is Mittagong, and we regularly service Bowral, Burradoo, Colo Vale, Hill Top and the surrounding Wingecarribee Shire communities. The work takes in residential gardens, rural blocks, commercial sites and civic jobs. Knowing the area counts for something here, because a sloped Highlands block carrying a big established cool climate tree is a different proposition from a flat suburban backyard, and the approach has to suit the site it is on.

Every job runs the same sequence, so you know what is coming before you commit. We come out for an on site inspection and give you a free quote, and the permit question gets talked through at that point, because it depends on your zoning: rural properties fall under NSW Local Land Services, while non rural land is managed by Wingecarribee Shire Council. Any approval is confirmed before the work goes in the diary. Then the tree comes down with equipment suited to the site, the debris is chipped, the timber is cut to length, and we leave the place clean. On cost, a small tree generally starts around $450 and a large or complex job can run to $2,500 or more, which is worth knowing before you start ringing around.

The tree removals we get called to take in the hazardous ones leaning toward a house, a fence or the powerlines, trunks split open in a storm, dead or diseased trees that have turned into a risk, overgrown natives crowding whatever is beside them, and trees that simply have to go before landscaping or building starts. Afterwards, stump removal and stump grinding finish the site off, because a stump left in the ground brings pests, regrowth and a hazard in the lawn while the roots carry on interfering with soil, garden beds and anything built nearby. Land clearing and vegetation management is the larger end of what we take on, and the aim there is removing what you do not want while keeping the plant life you do. We also handle tree pruning, tree crowning and felling, and we deliver firewood and mulch.

We take the wildlife and the native birds into account when we decide how to approach a tree, and we sponsor the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife. If something has come through the fence at two in the morning, our 24/7 emergency callout means somebody picks up. Otherwise quotes are free seven days a week, we have EFTPOS facilities and accept all major credit cards, and one phone call is all it takes to get us out to look at the tree.
