About This Business

Adrien started Flow Arborists four years ago and still runs it out of Dromana, which is why the email address you write to is a first name and not an inbox. That matters more than it sounds. When you book a job with us there is one person accountable for it turning up on the day it was promised, and the crew that arrives holds a Certificate III in Arboriculture, certification from the recognised arboriculture bodies, and insurance you are welcome to ask to see.

The piece of gear that changes the most jobs for us is the crane. Peninsula blocks are rarely obliging: a big tree with a house on one side, a septic field on the other and a driveway too narrow for a truck used to mean a full day of climbing and rigging, taking the tree out in small enough pieces that nothing swung into anything. With crane aided tree removal the whole limb is picked, lifted clear over the roof and set down in the open, which takes the guesswork and most of the risk out of the section that would otherwise be hanging above your house. Where a crane cannot get in, we still climb and dismantle it the long way, and the site is cleared of debris either way before we leave.

We work Dromana and the southern Mornington Peninsula, which means Arthurs Seat, Safety Beach, McCrae, Rosebud, Rosebud West, Red Hill, Red Hill South, Main Ridge, Mount Martha and Boneo. It is a small enough patch that we know which streets a truck fits down, and big enough that no two jobs in a week look the same.

Not everything needs to come out. Tree trimming and ongoing tree care are what we would rather be doing: thinning and shaping a canopy, lifting branches off a roofline or a boundary, and picking up a problem while it is still a pruning job. When a tree does go, stump removal grinds out what is left so the ground can be levelled, replanted or built on. For a whole block, land clearing takes the trees and scrub off in one program for building, fencing or fire preparation. And where you want a written opinion instead of a saw, our arborist consulting covers tree health, planning and development questions.

One thing worth knowing before you start: felling can need a permit depending on where you are and what the rules say in Victoria, and we know how that works in Dromana and around it, so we can tell you whether you need one and help you get it. Once that is sorted, the quote is free. Ring 0422 267 078 any hour you like, including the two in the morning after a tree has come down across your driveway, because we are open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
