Forbes Tree Care has been, in its own words, making the cut since 2000, working on trees around Newtown and the wider Geelong region. The main work is tree and deadwood removal, taking out trees that are dead, diseased, hazardous or simply the wrong plant in the wrong spot, and cleaning up the deadwood that can drop out of an otherwise healthy canopy. Hedge pruning is part of the same service, keeping hedges and screening plants neat rather than letting them sprawl.

Forbes also does its own on-site mulching, running the branches and offcuts through a chipper on the job so the green waste does not have to be carted away and can be left as mulch for the garden if the customer wants it. It is a tidy way to finish a job and it keeps a truckload of green waste out of landfill.
