Owner Ryan Schilling runs the crews out of all three, which puts a qualified team within reach of most of South East Queensland, and one phone number reaches the lot of them. Toowoomba and the Downs are covered from Rockville, the Scenic Rim from Boonah, and the run between Brisbane and the Gold Coast from Yatala, with the rest of the region picked up by whichever yard is closest.

Every arborist on our books is qualified, WHS certified and insured, and Garwood Tree Services is a QAA approved contractor. That is the paperwork that gets a crew through the gate on sites where credentials are checked before anyone starts work, and it is the same standard we bring to a suburban backyard with one tree in it. Where a tree is healthy and worth keeping, tree pruning and shaping keeps it in good order and in balance, taking out deadwood and lightening limbs so the canopy holds together when the wind gets up. Tree lopping is the more targeted job, clearing the overgrown or unwanted branches that are crowding a roof line, a driveway, a set of solar panels or a service wire.

When a tree is diseased, damaged or has become hazardous, our tree removal crews bring it down safely, sectioning the tree and lowering the pieces where it stands close to a house, a shed or a boundary fence. Once the trunk is gone, stump grinding and removal takes out the stump and the root mass, so there is no tripping hazard left in the lawn and the ground can be turfed or planted straight over.

Storms come through the Downs and the Scenic Rim hard, and when one leaves a limb hanging over a bedroom or a tree leaning on a fence, our emergency storm response gets a crew out to make the site safe and clear what has come down. We work through the mess in the order that cuts the risk fastest, starting with whatever is sitting over a house, a driveway or a power line.
