Since 1987 our family has been taking trees off Brisbane properties, and the business you ring today carries the same name and the same owners it did then. That is more than thirty five years in the tree industry, and it has grown GDE Tree Services from Murarrie into a team of more than twenty. Three domestic crews, a stump grinding unit, a commercial land clearing crew, a full-time estimator who quotes free of charge and a storm response team on twenty four hour standby all run out of the one yard, which is why a job rarely has to wait on someone else's schedule.

Every crew we send is led by an arborist, and every arborist on the books holds a minimum Level 3 qualification, with a full-time Level 5 Arborist overseeing the work. We carry public liability and workers compensation cover, and our certificates of currency are yours on request rather than something you have to chase. Behind the people sits the plant that decides what a job costs you in time: excavators, spider lifts and other elevated work platforms, large wood chippers, stump grinders, large body trucks and mini tippers for the tight blocks.

When a tree has to come out, tree felling and removal is planned around the structures and the people beside it, whatever the size, and tree lopping handles the reductions where a full take-down is not warranted. Storms are the other half of that work, so emergency tree removal runs around the clock with an after-hours crew, and a limb across a driveway at two in the morning is treated as the hazard it is rather than as a morning job.

The lighter work is where a tree's future is actually decided.
