Over twenty five years of tree surgery in Perth have settled the way Geoff's Tree Service runs a job, and we do not vary it. GTS holds ISO 45001 certification in occupational health and safety, and we are the only arboriculture company in Western Australia to have been given a Silver Certificate for Excellence in Safety by WorkSafe. Our lost time injury record has been zero for more than six years running. Proportionately, we also field the highest number of qualified arborists of any team in the state.

Over six million dollars sits in our plant and equipment: elevated work platforms, a fleet of chippers, and stump grinding machines in several sizes so both large and small stumps are straightforward. Large tree removal is our speciality, and that gear is what lets a mature tree come out of a back garden in a controlled way, with minimal impact on the lawn, the fence and the beds around it. We will not advise a removal that is not needed. Grindings can be carted away or left on your garden beds as mulch, whichever suits you.

Where a tree can be kept, our pruning is done to AS4373-2007, the Australian standard for pruning amenity trees. That matters most on young trees, because the cuts made now decide the structure the tree will be carrying in twenty years, and not every company on the road has qualified tree surgeons who work to it. Our consultants are QTRA trained for arboricultural reports, risk assessments and tree protection zone advice on development sites, and we are certified by Western Power for powerline clearance around low and high voltage lines. We save significant trees with cabling and bracing, cut firebreaks to the three metres wide and four metres high the law requires, and handle root barriers, systemic injection, tissue analysis, pest and disease management, mature tree transplants, lot clearing and conservation vegetation management.

Our mulch is a by-product of the removals and pruning, and it normally goes out to Perth households for nothing. A full load runs 12 to 15 cubic metres, the equivalent of 15 to 20 trailer loads, so it needs a level spot, clear truck access and nothing low hanging over the driveway, and requests come to us in writing. Deliveries are suspended at present while the shot hole borer response runs. Two depots put us across the Perth metropolitan area and the surrounds, with steady pruning and trimming through the northern suburbs including Joondalup and Wanneroo.

The 24 hour emergency service is there for the split trunk, the hanging limb and the tree down across a driveway or a roof, and palm trees get their dead fronds and seed heads off before they drop on somebody. Every job we take on carries a guarantee, and we start and finish it when we said we would.
