Complicated work is what we put our hand up for. Gough Tree Services runs out of Wongaling Beach at Mission Beach, and between us we hold a Diploma in Arboriculture at Certificate V and a Bachelor of Engineering. Those two tickets together are what we lean on when a tree is sitting hard against a house, a shed, a fence line or a powerline and there is no straightforward way to get it out. Mark and the team have been doing this across Far North Queensland for more than 15 years.

We take on tree surgery and removal of every kind, whether the tree is dead, storm damaged, outgrowing the spot it was planted in or simply standing where you need to build. Once it is down we grind the stump out so the ground can go back to lawn, garden bed or new planting with nothing left to catch a mower or a foot. Where you would sooner keep the tree, our arborist tree assessments give you a documented read on its health and structural stability, written up by a certified arborist for a council, an insurer, a development application or simply your own decision about the big one near the house.

There is more to us than the trees now. Our fencing goes up on residential, rural and commercial properties, whether that is a new boundary fence, privacy screening, pool fencing, a rural run or repairs after a blow has been through. We build it for these conditions, with solid foundations, a clean finish and materials that will handle the tropical climate, the heavy rainfall and the day to day wear this part of the coast hands out. Landscaping puts a garden back together once the tree and clearing work is finished, and we do driveway construction where the access needs sorting before anything else can happen.

Our patch runs the length of the Cassowary Coast and past it, from Cardwell in the south to Babinda in the north, taking in Mission Beach, Wongaling Beach and the rural blocks scattered between them. A property out on acreage is no trouble to us and neither is a suburban backyard with no room to swing anything, which is the sort of job the engineering side earns its keep on.

We are on the tools Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 5pm, and we would rather come and look at a job properly than price it over the phone.
