Greenish Tree Care

Eleven hundred trees planted through Landcare Australia and One Tree Planted, and a standing commitment to put more in the ground than we take out. That is where Greenish Tree Care starts. Arlo and Charlie Fieck founded the business in 2022 and run it out of Doonan. Our arborists are licensed and chainsaw certified, we are fully insured, and we work seven days a week.

The clearest example of how we think is habitat hollow creation. Using a Hollowhog carving tool we cut a large internal cavity through a small entry hole in under an hour, with no damage to the tree's cambium, and we size the entrance to whatever you want living in there, from native parrots through to possums. Where a hazardous tree can be reduced and kept instead of taken out altogether, that turns a liability into a wildlife hotel.

When a tree does have to come out, our tree removal runs on climbing ropes and rigging gear, the chipper, the stump grinder and the skid steer, matched to whatever access the site gives us. High risk tree work covers the hard to reach and genuinely hazardous trees, the ones that have to come apart piece by piece on rope because there is no room to drop anything.

The tropical species around here go to our palm tree removal and pruning, keeping the heads and fronds tidy and off whatever is sitting below them. For tree pruning we use correct technique to promote healthy growth and cut down disease, whether the job in front of us is clearance, thinning or deadwooding.

Afterwards the stump goes below ground level with our stump grinding, so you get the space back and nobody catches a foot on it, and our chipping service turns branches and yard waste into wood chips and mulch that goes straight back onto gardens and landscaping. We run eco friendly bar oil in our saws in place of petroleum oil, and we use an electric chainsaw wherever the job allows it. We acknowledge the Kabi Kabi people and the Jinibara people as Traditional Owners of the country we work on, and their continuing connection to land, waters and culture.
