Greenwood Tree Climbing

Greenwood Tree Climbing is an East Gippsland arborist that leans into the technical end of tree work: getting up into trees that are hard to reach and taking them down where there is no room to drop them whole. Started in 2017 and built on more than ten years in the industry, it is the outfit to call when a straightforward fell is not an option.

The specialty is confined space tree removal and advanced tree felling, the sort of climbing and rigging work that lets a tree be dismantled piece by piece over a house, a fence line or a shed rather than felled across them. Trees of any size are pruned or removed, and where a tree is leaning the wrong way, the felling is planned to put it exactly where it needs to land.

For trees worth keeping, weight reductions and crown thinning take load off heavy limbs and let light and air back through the canopy, which cuts the risk of a branch failing in a blow. Hedge trimming rounds out the pruning side for property owners after a tidier boundary.

Once a tree is down, stump grinding takes the stump below ground so the space can be reused, and wood splitting along with a tipper and chipper means the mess is cleared and the timber dealt with in the one visit. It is a full-service approach, from the climb through to the clean-up.
